Adele Abdulah – Social Media Manager

Originally from Yemen, I joined Brabantmaatjes with two goals in mind: to contribute to raising awareness around mental health—especially loneliness—in the Netherlands, and to develop my professional skills in social media management.

 

As an asylum seeker, I understand firsthand the emotional challenges many newcomers face, often in silence. This personal connection fuels my commitment to creating safe, supportive communities through honest dialogue and shared experiences.

 

With a background in English literature and teaching, I bring creativity and communication expertise to my role. Social media started as a passion and has since become a path for professional growth. Thanks to training programs with Dutch organizations like Refugee Talent Hub and The Code to Change, I’ve gained the tools to craft meaningful content and strategy that support the mission of inclusive initiatives like Brabantmaatjes.
